Three more international flights on airport radar, flydubai in talks

Pune:  At least three more international flights are likely to take off from the city airport by October, once the additional parking bays are in place.
In the offing is a flight to Singapore. Also, the authorities of flydubai, a low-cost airline headquartered at the terminal-2 of Dubai International Airport, have evinced interest in operating flights from Pune.
“India is a very important market for flydubai. We continuously look at opportunities to expand our operations in the market and better serve passengers between the two countries. Any discussion regarding bilateral agreements are done at the government level," Sudhir Sreedharan, vice-president, commercial operations, flydubai, said in an email response.
