Airline, travel agency asked to pay relief

Madurai: The Madurai District Consumer Forum has directed SpiceJet and Thomas Cook to pay compensation to a family for deficiency in service.

The forum, comprising president V. Balasundarakumar and member M. Maraikamalai, directed the organisations to pay P. Palanikumar of Madurai towards travel expense of Rs. 10,000, compensation of Rs. 30,000 and cost of Rs. 5,000. Mr .Palani Kumar had booked a two-way ticket from Madurai to Delhi in 2014.
