Bangladeshi national caught with valid Indian passport

Bengaluru: Immigration officials at the Kempegowda International Airport on Thursday arrested a 37-year-old Bangladeshi national arriving from Dubai with a valid Indian passport.
Hoque Mofizul, a resident of Nathore in Bangladesh, returned to the city after going to Dubai on a
short-term visa, probably to look for a job.
The police said Mofizul had submitted his travel documents for immigration clearance when immigration official
Chinnadurai spoke to him casually, and later picked him up for questioning on suspicion.
During a detailed inquiry, Mofizul revealed his real identity, saying he crossed the IndiaBangladesh
border illegally last year and stayed in West Bengal, where he forged documents to avail an Aadhaar card and Voter ID card to apply for his passport. Mofizul had a valid Bangladesh passport, which has been seized by the immigration oicial for further investigation.
