Brazilian held with cocaine worth Rs. 2.5 cr.

Mumbai: A Brazilian national was caught on Sunday by the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) at the Mumbai airport for allegedly smuggling in cocaine-filled capsules worth Rs. 2.5 crore by concealing them in talcum powder boxes.

Ferreia Nascimen, who arrived from Addis Ababa on an Ethiopian Airlines flight, was intercepted on suspicion when he was headed to board a connecting Air India flight to Delhi, airport officials said.

CISF official Manoj Kumar, on checking his hand baggage, discovered a few plastic talcum powder boxes. A detailed examination revealed that 457 grams of cocaine had been stuffed in capsules, which were concealed in the boxes.
