GMR Hyderabad International Airport Limited (GHIAL) has awarded contracts for an airport expansion to India-based construction firm L&T Construction and Philippines-based Megawide Corporation.
A subsidiary of GMR Infra, GHIAL manages the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport. It is planning to expand the terminal building and support airside infrastructure.
This expansion will help manage 34 million passengers a year, an increase of 22 million from the existing capacity.
