Hubballi: With the inclusion of expanded Hubballi Airport under UDAN (regional connectivity scheme), more flights connecting Hubballi with more places are now operating from here, increasing the passenger traffic, and also resulting in the need to improve passenger amenities through further expansion. Therefore, a plan to improve passenger amenities at a cost of around Rs 60 crore is getting ready, in the background of increased passenger traffic and the possibility of more flights operating from here.
MP Pralhad Joshi, who is also the airport advisory committee chairman, told media persons here on Friday that a meeting of the committee is called on September 4, to discuss the issue, while the deputy commissioner is also invited for this.
