Colombo: An Indian national who attempted to smuggle Gold biscuits and jewellery worth Rs. 16 million was arrested by Customs Officials at the Bandaranaike International Airport.
Customs Media Spokesperson Sunil Jayarathne said two Gold biscuits weighing 1 kg each and 535 grams of jewellery were found concealed in the suspect’s luggage.
The Suspect who is a resident of Kerala, India flew in from Dubai. Customs spokesperson stated that investigations are currently ongoing.
