Jet Air pilots seek to end standoff

Mumbai: The pilots union of Jet Airways, the National Aviator's Guild (NAG), has said it is endeavouring to help the airline face the current challenges and achieve cost efficiencies.

The union, which has more than 1,135 members, said airlines are now facing challenges such as rising fuel costs, pressure on the rupee and low fares and that the induction of Boeing 737 MAX planes would also play a huge part in achieving cost efficiencies and enhancing service standards.

"We are endeavouring to assist our company in facing these challenges by meeting with the management and being a part of the solution in achieving cost efficiencies and enhancing our service standards," NAG said in a communication to its members, PTI has reported.
