Jet Airways boosts Manchester to Mumbai route

Jet Airways has increased the frequency on its new direct Manchester to Mumbai service - before the first plane has even taken off.
In May the airline revealed a four-times-a-week service.
Now it will now offer five flights per week to the Indian city, on Monday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
The new route, which officially starts in November, is tipped to deliver a major economic boost to the northern economy.
For the 500,000 people of Indian origin living in the region, it’s expected to be a key link.
It is also hoped to bring millions of tourists to the north.
Lydia Nazareth, general manager UK & Ireland at Jet Airways said: “We are pleased to increase the frequency on flights between Manchester and Mumbai ahead of our launch in November.
