Jharsuguda airport gets 4C license for bigger aircraft operation

Bhubaneswar: Considered as the second major airport in the state, Jharsuguda airport was granted 4C license by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) on Wednesday, making it eligible to operate bigger aircraft like A-320 airbus.
The announcement was made before the media today by Jharsuguda Airport Director SK Chouhan.
The newly-constructed Jharsugada airport was granted category 2B license in May, this year making it eligible for flight operations.
Recently, a team of DGCA and a team of Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS) had conducted separate inspections on June 28 and 29 respectively regarding the facilities and security measures at the airport.
