Pregnant Woman Air Lifted By Navy In A Daring Operation Delivers A Baby Boy!

The current situation in Kerala has become a nightmare for lakhs of residents. Indian Navy, activists and disaster control units are working day in and day out to rescue, provide food and shelter and medical facilities to the citizens in need.

Amid those who were trapped recently, was a pregnant woman was on the rooftop of her house. An Indian Navy's chopper somehow reached to rescue her from her rooftop. 25 year old Sajitha Jabil who lives in one of the worst affected areas in Chengamanad town near Aluva, was rescued on a helicopter. This is an area where 324 people have died over the last eight days.
The ordeal kept getting worse for Sajitha as her water broke while being trapped on her roof with no rescuer in sight. However, a Navy chopper arrived soon, with a doctor, who was lowered onto the rooftop to examine her. Jabil was strapped into a harness after the doctor's approva; and pulled up to the chopper and flown to INHS Sanjivani hospital in Kerala's Kochi.
