Nagpur: An ATR aircraft of Jet Airways has been grounded at the Nagpur airport since Monday after a rabbit hit its wheel at the taxiway. The plane scheduled to take off for Indore at around 8pm had 8 passengers on board, who where shifted to other planes.
The captain of the airport saw something passing near the wheels due to which he applied brakes. A dead rabbit was found below.
ATR which makes the aircraft wanted to check any damage to the wheel before the plane took off. A team arrived at Nagpur on Tuesday and the plane is now expected to take off, said sources.
