AAI platform to help MADC manage small airports

Mumbai: The Airports Authority of India (AAI) has signed an agreement with the Maharashtra Airport Development Company (MADC) Ltd to provide a comprehensive business accounting solution to manage small airports efficiently under the Regional Connectivity Scheme–UDAN.

MADC, which operates nine airports in the State and is the nodal agency for the scheme, will get AAI’s Sky Books 360, an integrated e-business solution for airport operators. Sky Books 360 is designed to meet all business management requirements using a single platform for smaller airport operators not only in India, but globally. This system will help State governments manage small airports going live under the Regional Connectivity Scheme–UDAN.

S. Suresh, member (finance), AAI, said Sky Books 360 is a customised enterprise resource planning (ERP) system for small airports, which automates business workflow and lets airport operators build layers of functionalities to support the unique business models.

The system is equipped with financial accounting reports, cash flow reports, payroll, central provident fund accounting, security passes, stock management system, budgeting, income tax module, GST reports, imprest management, engineering, bank reconciliation, cash flow and other needs customised to run the airport business flawlessly.
