Brazilian man held at Delhi airport with Rs 3-crore cocaine in stomach

In a shocking incident, a Brazilian man was arrested by customs on Thursday at Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International (IGI) airport for allegedly trying to smuggle in cocaine worth Rs 3 crore that he had swallowed in the form of 64 capsules.According to a statement by customs officials, a medical examination revealed the man had swallowed 64 capsules containing 620 grams of ‘white-powder’. He was intercepted by customs after his arrival from Sao Paolo on August 27, reported DNA.
Later, a drug test ascertained that the white-powder taken out of the passenger’s body was cocaine. Officials have not yet disclosed the name of the man and an investigation has been ordered.
