Come December, Pune airport to dish out three more aerobridges to flyers

Pune: City airport will have three new aerobridges by December, airport director Ajay Kumar said on Friday.
All the three bridges will be installed within the next two months and they will be operational from December onwards,” he told TOI.

Around a month ago, the Airports Authority of India (AAI) had said that it would take at least seven months for the three new aerobridges to be installed at the Pune airport.
However, Kumar said that the aerobridge project has been taken up on a priority basis and the design of the three structures has been finalised.

“Everything related to the project has been finalised and we have completed the civil work. The bridges will be installed by December following which passengers will find it easy to embark and disembark from the aircrafts. With the three additions, the total number of aerobridges will be five,” Kumar said.
