Kolkata: A mock bomb drill was conducted at the Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport here on Wednesday, a release by the airport authorities said.
The threat preparedness evacuation drill was needed to test co-ordination and response of all the agencies functioning in the airport in keeping with the Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS) requirements.
As a part of the drill conducted by the Airports Authority of India and the CISF, all passengers and staff members at the international terminal were evacuated, the release said.
