Amritsar: There is good news for Sri Guru Ram Das International Airport as Indian airline carriers IndiGo, SpiceJet and Jet Airways is starting new flights from the Winter season. Low-cost carrier Indigo will operate daily Hyderabad flight from the Airport from September 15, and SpiceJet is starting direct daily flights to Goa and Bangkok from November 6.
Similarly, Jet Airways will also connect Amritsar with the Manchester in the UK via Mumbai four days a week from November 6. The Jet flight will go to Mumbai and then passengers will connect to Manchester flight after about 1 hr.40 min. Booking for these flights are available on the airline's website.
Another joy for exporters, traders and business community of Punjab region is that SpiceJet’s dedicated cargo freighter arm Spice Xpress is also starting its maiden freight cargo operations from Amritsar Airport.
