Ahmedabad: The shuttle bus service from SG Highway to the airport will close on Saturday, for lack of takers. AMC officials decided to wind up the shuttle service as it was not getting more than five passengers per trip on average.
Officials said that the BRT and AMC authorities had set a fixed rate of Rs 100 for a trip to the airport.
However, the bus failed to capture the attention of travellers.
Officials said the bus used the BRT lane and passed Ramdevnagar, Nehunagar, Ashram Road and en route to the airport.
A senior officer said they noted that travellers preferred using radio taxis or paying slightly more, rather than using the service.
