Air India starts flight to Hazoor Sahib

Chandigarh: Come November, an Air India flight will connect the city to Sikh pilgrim shrine of Hazoor Sahib at Nanded in Maharashtra via Delhi.

The first Hazoor Sahib flight will depart from Delhi on November 19 and a flight to the same destination will start, later, from Chandigarh. Air India airport manager M R Jindal said: “The sale of tickets for the connecting flight has been announced already. The fare for the Chandigarh-Delhi-Nanded flight will be Rs 8,137.”
The passengers can book this flight up to Delhi for about Rs 2,700. The flight will depart at 12.50pm and leave Delhi at 3:20pm, from where a seat can be booked for Rs 5,437. The return fare from Nanded to Delhi is Rs 9,693. Jindal said: “The Chandigarh-Delhi-Nanded flight will be operate twice a week, on Mondays and Thursdays. It will reach Nanded at 5.05pm with a travel time of 1.45 hours. Chandigarh has a big potential for pilgrim travel to Sikh shrines. Earlier, local people had to catch a train to reach Hazroor Sahib.
