CISF restores foreign currency & valuables to rightful owner at Delhi Airport

New Delhi: The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) on Sunday restored a pouch containing foreign currency worth Rs 68,000 and valuables to the rightful owner at Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International airport, an official statement said here.
According to CISF, a duty personnel noticed an unattended pouch lying on output roller baggage scanning machine at Terminal 1D of IGI Airport.
Immediately, he asked the passerby passengers but not one came forward to collect the same.
As standard operative procedure, the pouch was checked from security point of view and was also checked through Explosive Vapour Detector (EVD) machine. After ascertaining that there was no dangerous or hazardous item inside the pouch, the matter was informed to CCTV observer to review the footage.
