Flight gets delayed for 10 hours, irked fliers stage dharna at Ahmedabad airport

Ahmedabad: High drama unfolded at the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International (SVPI) Airport in Ahmedabad after the delay in departure of a Chennai-bound GoAir Flight G8-912 on Monday.
The flight was scheduled for take off at 10.30pm on Sunday but left the city on Monday at around 8am.
The delay of roughly 10 hours outraged the passengers who staged a dharna at the airport.
Passengers confirmed that the flight was initially delayed by four hours and was scheduled to depart at 2.30am. But many complained they were not informed on time.
Despite this, the flight still did not take-off because the crew wasn't ready.
Several passengers took to social media platforms to express outrage against the airline.
“It is 5.28am and I along with 150 passengers of GoAir flight number G8-912 are waiting for the flight to go since 10.10pm (previous day). PS – We are not even getting compensated and Monday morning we had to report to work,” says a tweet from a passenger named, Prashant.
