Hyderabad-bound GoAir flight returns to Delhi due to midair engine problems

GoAir aircraft was forced to return to Delhi after its engine developed problems midair. The GoAir Flight G8 423, an Airbus 320 Neo airplane, was flying from Delhi to Hyderabad.

The flight had to return after its engines started vibrating strongly midair. Following this, the aircraft returned to Delhi.

The affected Airbus A320 Neo was one that had Pratt & Whitney (P&W) engines. Recently, on multiple occasions, aircraft operating with these engines have reported snags during their operations.

The Directorate General of Civil Aviation had also issued instructions to airlines to ground such aircraft and rectify the issue.

GoAir confirmed that the flight developed a glitch and had to return midair. In a statement, GoAir said, "Flight G8 423 from Delhi to Hyderabad after being airborne returned to Delhi due to a suspected technical glitch."
