Man arrested with fake Indian passport at Kolkata airport

Kolkata: A 25-year-old Bangladeshi national was arrested from the Kolkata airport on Monday for allegedly trying to board a flight to Bangladesh with a fake Indian passport. Cops caught Mohammed Faisal while he was undergoing his immigration clearance to Dhaka by an IndiGo flight and found that he was carrying a fake Indian passport.
He allegedly confessed to have to have entered India through Gede Rail Port against his Bangladeshi passport but started living at an Uttar Pradesh address with one his relatives at Tilja village in Dudhara district. Cops said, he had illegally obtained Indian passport, voter identity card and other documents in a fraudulent manner.
He was charged under IPC sections dealing in cheating (IPC 420), forgery (IPC 465) and under Foreigners Act. He was produced before a Barrackpore court on Tuesday and was sent to seven days of judicial custody.
