Two foreign nationals deported for overstay

Pune: The Pune police on Wednesday deported two foreign nationals for overstaying in India.
“Fredrick Kaitale (26) from Rwanda and Oria Blaise Stephane Kouassi (25) from Ivory Coast were found overstaying in Kondhwa in a surprise inspection conducted by the prosecution and vigilance wing of the foreigners’ registration office a fortnight ago,” a police officer said.
After the investigation, it was found that Kaitale came to India on a student visa that issued on August 6, 2012. “His visa expired on February 6, 2013, but he continued to stay in India,” the officer said, adding that his passport had also expired.
The police issued an emergency travel document to him, following which he was deported from the country. “He was deported via CSI airport, Mumbai to Addis-Ababa by Ethiopian airlines flight at 4am on Wednesday. He boarded a connecting flight from Addis-Ababa to Bujumbura, Burundi, at 12.10pm before boarding another flight from Bujumbura to Kigali, Rwanda, at 2.30pm,” the officer added.
