New Delhi: A pro-Islamic State Telegram channel in Kashmir has suggested that “fighters” in the Valley purchase drones online and utilise them for carrying out suicide attacks on security installations and government buildings in the state.
The Kashmir-focused, IS-supporting group posted an English message on the Telegram channel “Strangers in Kashmir” on Sunday, stating that fighters in the region did not know who to trust and that their plans were leaked to security agencies, leaving them prone to encounters and ambush attacks.
The message, as quoted by SITE Intelligence Group website, read: “The problem with mujahideen (in J&K) is that they don’t know whom they should trust and rely on and ends up in encounters or ambushes by Kuffar. The problem can be solved in 2000 Indian rupees by ordering drones from online marketing, it will be more useful during the istishaadi attacks on camps or any other official buildings. Just read the mind of your enemies. When they can use such tactics against the mujahideen, why can’t you”.
