GFP’s youth wing warns M’rashtra MLA

Panaji: The war of words between Goa Forward Party (GFP) and Maharashtrian politicians from the Konkan region escalated on Wednesday with the GFP youth wing issuing veiled threats to Kankavli MLA Nitesh Rane and Sindhudurg MP Vinayak Raut.
Warning the politicians not to test Goa’s patience, Goa Youth Forward said Rane had commercial interests here and both the politicians had to use the airport in Dabolim for travel. “If he speaks the language of violence, it will take only one day for us to shut down his businesses,” Malik said, while referring to Rane’s tourism and transport businesses in Goa. Rane and Raut have criticized the Goa government’s decision to impose stringent checks on fish that is transported from the Konkan region into Goa.
