Vasco: Customs officials on Friday intercepted an international passenger at Dabolim airport and seized 450g of gold powder from his hand luggage.
He had arrived in Goa on an Oman Air flight.
When the passenger’s bag was searched during screening procedures, customs officials recovered six transparent plastic pouches bearing a brown substance that was discovered to be gold in powdered form.
The value of the gold will be determined after an extraction process.
