Bangladeshi caught with Indian passport

Bengaluru: Immigration officials on Tuesday caught a 29-year-old Bangladesh national who had allegedly migrated to India illegally 14 years ago and completed a course in engineering. He was working in Bosch company in Bengaluru.
Mahim Chandra Majumdar, a native of Bhola district in Bangladesh, was caught when he was trying to board a flight to Dubai in the UAE from Bengaluru using an Indian passport.
During immigration clearance, when he was questioned, Majumdar told officials that he is from Bangladesh and had crossed the international border with his family at Bongaon in West Bengal in 2004. The family settled in Krishna Nagar in West Bengal. Majumdar joined school and later enrolled in an engineering course.
Soon after competing his graduation, he got a job in an IT firm in Kolkata where he worked for some years before shifting to Bengaluru. He joined Bosch three years ago and was on an official assignment when he was caught.
