Indian national arrested at Sri Lanka's Colombo airport with Hashish worth Rs. 2 mn

Colombo: Sri Lanka Police Narcotics Bureau (PNB) unit at the Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) Sunday (30) arrested an Indian national attempting to smuggle over one kilogram of hashish.

The PNB officers on suspicion inspected the luggage of the passenger arrived from Bangalore, India and found 1.280 kilograms hashish carefully hidden in a false bottom of the bag. The stock of drug is valued at Rs. 2 million.

The 30-year-old suspect will be produced before the Negombo Magistrate's Court today (31).
