Jet expands ‘Fare Choice’ framework

Mumbai: Taking a leaf out of Vistara’s book, Jet Airways said on Monday that passengers under certain fare buckets will have the option to purchase meals and won’t be served complimentary food on-board from January 7, 2019.

Announcing further enhancements to its ‘Fare Choices’ framework, Jet Airways said its decision reflected the fast-evolving nature of Indian aviation, where an increasing number of guests wanted the freedom and flexibility to make their own travel choices.

Changes under the ‘Fare Choices’ framework will begin to reflect during bookings from December 21 for all flight tickets after January 7, 2019.

‘Fare Choices,’ a tier-based system, enables passengers to customise their travel experience with the airline by choosing their preferred fare and a specially tailored associated service experience that features benefits they most value.

In addition to the ‘Light’ and ‘Deal’ categories introduced earlier, Jet Airways will now offer two more categories — Saver and Classic — for passengers travelling economy class.
