Ahmedabad: A passenger travelling to Doha from Ahmedabad, Abraar Pasha, carrying 1.5kg of charas, was caught at the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International (SVPI) Airport on Friday morning. According to sources in Airports Authority of India (AAI), the passenger had arrived from Bengaluru to Ahmedabad to take a connecting flight by the same airline to Doha.
The accused has been identified as Abraar Pasha, a native of Shivamogga in Karnataka, who had concealed charas in three packets, each weighing 500gm, which were sealed with brown scotch tape with metal foil packing like a food packet. Later, he was handed over to Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) by CISF personnel deployed at the airport.
