Man insists on smoking inside flight. Offloaded at Delhi airport

New Delhi: A passenger on board a Vistara flight was offloaded in Delhi on Friday (December 21) after he insisted on smoking inside the cabin. The Vistara flight UK 707 on the Delhi-Amritsar route was delayed by over three hours due to this incident, ANI reported.

The passenger had asked for permission to smoke inside the aircraft saying the flight was long. After being refused, he later engaged in an argument with the cabin crew.

Confirming the incident, Vistara in an official statement said, "We had an unruly customer who insisted on smoking on board. He was given a warning letter by the captain and later offloaded when he denied complying with air safety rules."
"Vistara regrets the delay, however, safety and security of customers are Vistara's foremost priority and it does not accept unruly behaviour of any kind," the airlines said.
