Kakinada: East Godavari Collector Kartikeya Mishra has said that the new run way for Rajahmundry airport would be ready by this month end.
Reviewing the progress of various ongoing projects in the district at a meeting of the heads of
departments at sub collector’s office in Rajahmundry on Monday, Mishra said, the run way extension work was being executed on war footing so as to make it operational in the new year. He has directed the sub collector and the airport director to expedite the works for their completion on schedule.
Mr Mishra has directed the RDO Peddapuram to expedite the new alignment work for the Bharat Mala project which connects Kakinada port to National Highway way no 216 by acquiring more land from the Kakinada SEZ area for this purpose.
