Centre's decision to handover Thiruvananthapuram Intl Airport to private Company not acceptable: CM

Thiruvananthapuram: The Kerala Cabinet which met on Thursday has decided not to accept the Union Government's decision to handover the International Airport here to a Private Company.
Briefing on the Cabinet decisions, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said the issue related to Centre's decision to handover the International Airport here to a private company is not acceptable to Kerala.
The Airport was constructed in the land which was given by the State Government, and the
Government was seriously thinking about legal option against the Centre's move.
The government will not support any move to handover the Airport to a private firm and a legal
consultant will be appointed to look into the matter, he added.
