CISF detects Rs 1.41 crore at Kolkata Airport

New Delhi: The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) on Friday detected high volume of India currency at Kolkata airport, an official release said here.
On a random profiling at airport, the CISF surveillance and intelligence unit a passenger was picked up for thorough search at departure area. He was taken to the random checking point his bag was screened again.
On screening, the duty official at scanning machine noticed the image of currency notes inside
his hand baggage. Subsequently, the passenger was asked to open the bag for physical checking. On opening the bag, high volume of Indian currency worth Rs 1,41,04,900 was detected. On inquiry, he could not produce any valid document.
