CISF sleuths seize Rs 1.02 crore worth unaccounted foreign currency at RGI Airport

Hyderabad: In a major catch, Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) sleuths seized Rs 1.02 crore foreign currency from a passenger trying to board Dubai bound flight on Wednesday.

At around 2am on Wednesday, CISF SI Varun Kumar who was on passenger screening duty at the international departure block's entrance, apprehended Mohammed Pervez, who was trying to board Emirates flight (EK-525) to Dubai after baggage checking.
Using passenger profiling techniques, the CISF SI sensed that Pervez was carrying something illegal and subjected his baggage to screening. The SI found, 16500 US dollars, 52450 Qatari Riyals, 37950 UAE Dirhams, 2165 Kuwaiti Dinars, 4625 Omani Rial, 2395 Bahrain Dinar and 299100 Saudi Riyals, all worth Rs 1.02 crore.
