In coming months, the situation of congestion at the arrival and departure hall of the Jaipur Airport will be reduced as the expansion work going on at the airport will be over soon. Sources informed that the expansion of arrival hall will be completed by March end, while work at departure hall is also expected to be completed in about a month’s time. After completion of this work, it’s expected that the passengers who feel congested arriving at the airport will get some relief due to this expansion of space.
The passengers using the airport has been constantly rising at Jaipur airport. In November 2017, 4,19,613 passengers used Jaipur airport while between April to November in 2018, 3547882 passengers used the airport compared to last year in the same duration when 2971975 passengers used Jaipur airport. This means that there has been an increase of 19.4% change in passenger rush using this airport.
During the morning time, when many flights depart, there is a heavy rush in the lobby of this terminal causing much inconvenience to the passengers. There are long queues of passengers waiting for a security check during the morning time and in case of delays due to weather issues, the whole hall seems very crowded. In the last few weeks, many new flights and new destinations with direct flights like Kochi, Bhopal and Shirdi have been started by various airlines increasing the number of passengers coming to Jaipur airport.
