Direct Tvm-Singapore flights from May

Thiruvananthapuram: Scoot, the low-cost arm of Singapore Airlines Group, will operate direct flights between Singapore and Thiruvananthapuram, starting from May 7. The airline will operate service for five days a week from Trivandrum International Airport.
Airbus aircraft will be used for the service.The company plans to start the service of Thiruvananthapuram-Singapore flight TR 531, which will depart from Trivandrum International Airport at 10.40pm on Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday to reach Singapore at 5.35am. Singapore-Thiruvananthapuram flight TR 530 from Singapore will leave at 8.05pm on Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday to reach Thiruvananthapuram at 9.45pm.
“The new routes are due to be transferred over from sister airline, SilkAir, and Scoot will be the only airline operating direct flights from Thiruvananthapuram,” said a statement from the company.
In India, Scoot already operates services in seven routes – from Amritsar, Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kochi, Lucknow, and Tiruchirappalli.
In addition to Thiruvananthapuram, the airline announced its extension to two other cities, Coimbatore and Visakhapatnam. The service from Coimbatore and Visakhapatnam will begin from October 27. The airline also introduced a limited time sale on flights which will end on January 28.
