Flight services soon from Jharsuguda airport to six cities

Bhubaneswar: Commercial flight services will be launched from Veer Surendra Sai Airport, Jharsuguda to six cities of the country under UDAN-3 scheme.

The Civil Aviation Ministry on Friday announced the results of UDAN-3 scheme in which the ministry issued licences to 235 routes comprising 189 RCS Routes and 46 Tourism Routes across 29 states.

For the first time, tourism routes and water aerodromes are included under the scheme.

According to a statement released by the ministry, UDAN 3.0 has 235 routes comprising 189 UDAN routes and 46 tourism routes connecting all 29 states. The airlines which bagged the licences under the UDAN 3 scheme are Spicejet, IndiGo, Jet Airways and Air India.
