German held with fake ticket at Indira Gandhi International airport

New Delhi: A German national was arrested for entering Indira Gandhi International airport using a forged ticket. After being nabbed, the man told the cops that he was aware that he might be arrested, but he wanted to see off his girlfriend and hence used the fake ticket.
The accused was identified as Fyn Gunnar. According to Customs officials, Gunnar entered the IGI premises by using an edited ticket of the flight his girlfriend was taking. He first booked the ticket and then cancelled it just so that he could gain entry and spend some extra time with his girlfriend.

When Gunnar tried to exit the airport terminal, he was stopped by one of the staffers. The German national was later handed over to the police and a case under sections 417 (Punishment for cheating), 447 (Punishment for criminal trespass), 465 (Punishment for forgery) and 471 (using a forged document as genuine) of the IPC was registered at the IGI airport police station against him.
