Kial begins branding campaign in Dubai

Kannur: Kannur International Airport Ltd (Kial) has begun a branding campaign in Dubai, where four transport buses have been covered with Kial livery.

Sources said Gulf region is Kial's main focus and hence they launched the campaign. "We got a good response from the Malayali community after we launched the campaign on January 5 and photos are being shared on social media," said the agency in charge of the campaign. Though it has been limited to four buses plying on different routes in Dubai, the expectation is that the campaign will reach a wider audience as people have started circulating its images.
As of now, Air India Express is operating services to Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Doha and Riyadh from the airport, while GoAir is expected to start services to Abu Dhabi and Muscat in February. This branding is aimed at tapping the potential of Gulf countries.

Last month, 61 international and 81 domestic flights landed here while 62 and 82 services took off respectively. A total of 42,667 passengers used the airport till January 8, including 10,193 international passengers who flew from here and 10,942 who landed here, said Kial authorities.
