Mangalore International Airport says connect to official free Wi-Fi for better user experience

Mangaluru: The Mangalore International Airport (MIA) authorities have advised passengers to use Airport Authority of India’s official free Wi-Fi to avoid slow speeds and connectivity issues.
MIA has advised passengers that the airport is providing free Wi-Fi from Vodafone through partner M/s Firefly networks, where 200 mb is free up to 45 minutes, whichever is earlier, and then online recharge is available.
Reacting to a report in TOI on Sunday that MIA lacks proper Wi-Fi connectivity, MIA airport director V V Rao said passengers were by mistake connecting to the old BSNL Wi-Fi and were facing problems. “Our technical team has analysed and advised as such. If any user faces problems, they can contact our terminal manager on a 24X7 basis,’’ he said, adding: “We have disconnected the old BSNL Wi-Fi to avoid confusion.”
He said due to this reason, some guests were connecting to the earlier installed BSNL Wi-Fi and giving wrong feedback. He has requested all guests at MIA to use only the official Wi-Fi provider by logging on to-‘Free Wi-Fi@AAI by Vodafone’.
