Mid-air scare: 45 Shiv Sena corporators from Thane onboard Airbus A320neo plane that made emergency landing

Mumbai: About 45 corporators from Thane, hailing from the Shiv Sena were onboard the Airbus A320neo plane of GoAir that made an emergency landing at Mumbai airport after serious issues with its engine.
The Shiv Sena corporators were all set to travel to Delhi from the Mumbai airport for a study tour of Parliament when the plane they were travelling in began giving out high vibrations from the engine.
GoAir flight G8319 departed from the Mumbai airport at 10.17 am and was headed to Delhi. The Pratt & Whitney-engine powered A320neo plane developed 'high engine vibrations" within an hour of its take-off and had to head back to Mumbai.

At about 12:15 pm, it made a safe emergency landing at Mumbai's Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport.

All 160 passengers including 40-45 Shiv Sena's Thane Corporators on board the plane are reported to be safe.
To the pilot's credit, he acted quickly upon realising that the engine was acting up. He kept his calm and did not create panic amongst the travellers, says a report in Lokmat.

When the plane made a safe landing at Mumbai, the deplaned corporators were then put onboard another flight to Delhi along with other travellers.
