Roaring hit: All 162 seats on Hazur Sahib flight sold out

Chandigarh: The forthcoming Sikh pilgrimage bonanza of direct air connectivity from Chandigarh to Sachkhand Hazur Sahib in Nanded, Maharashtra, slated to depart on January 8 has been sold out. All the 162 seats on board Airbus AB-320 NEO aircraft have already been booked, said Air India airport manager M R Jindal.

The first ever air connectivity from Chandigarh for any pilgrimage destination has been widely welcomed. Jindal said, “The long-pending demand of Sikh ‘sangat’ has been fulfilled by Air India. A 162-seater aircraft has been pressed into action with 150 economy class seats and 12 business class seats. The introductory fare of Rs 10,000 to Rs 20,000 return journey has been announced for economy class. All the seats have been sold out.”

Sachkhand Hazur Sahib flight will connect Chandigarh to Hazur Sahib, Nanded, twice a week on Tuesday and Wednesday. The frequency might be increased after observing the feedback for sometime. Giving the information, Air India airport manager MR Jindal said Airbus AB-320 NEO aircraft departs for Hazur Sahib. He added that flight number 817 will depart from Chandigarh at 9.10am and arrive at Nanded at 11.30am.
For return journey, flight number 818 will depart from Nanded at 12.05am to arrive at Chandigarh at 2.20pm. The travel time will be 2.20 hours, said Jindal.
