Singapore's Changi Airport, others show interest in India’s privatisation plan: report

International airport operators such as Switzerland’s Zurich and Singapore’s Changi are evaluating India’s privatisation plan for six airports, which includes Ahmedabad, Jaipur, Lucknow, Guwahati, Thiruvananthapuram and Mangaluru, reported Mint.

Other operators, including Germany's AviAlliance, US financial investor Global Infrastructure Partners (GIP) and Sydney-based investment manager AMP Capital, are also evaluating the plan, the report said citing two people close to the development.

Indian players such as Anil Ambani’s Reliance Infrastructure, the National Investment and Infrastructure Fund and Adani group, besides Indian airport operators GVK and GMR have also shown interest for the plan, said the report.

The above mentioned six airports are currently being run by the Airports Authority of India (AAI) and are up for bidding under the plan, the report said. The deadline for bid submission on February 14 and the letter of award will be issued on February 28.
