Surat to get it's first international flight in February

Mumbai: Surat will see the launch of it's first international flights next month with Air India Express non-stop flight to Sharjah.

The maiden service to Surat will begin on February 16. Air India Express has offered all-inclusive inaugural fares starting from Rs 8849 on Surat-Sharjah sector and AED 529 for travel from Sharjah to Surat, said a statement released by Air India Express on Thursday.

Surat will be the twentieth Indian destination in the Air India Express network. The aircraft will be based in Sharjah to operate Surat-Sharjah-Surat service.

Air India Express flight IX-172 will depart from Sharjah at 7:35 pm and arrive in Surat at 11:45 pm on Mondays and Saturdays. Flight IX-171 from Surat to Sharjah will depart from Surat at 12:30 am (half past midnight) with arrival into Sharjah at 02:15 am on Tuesdays and Sundays.

Surat- Sharjah will be the 47thnon-stop direct connection of Air India Express between destinations in India and the Gulf Region. The Airline’s network in Gulf extends to 13 cities.
