System fault at Delhi adds to fog woes of air travellers

Mohali: The poor visibility kept flight operators and passengers at the receiving end even on Thursday. Adding to the woes, a system fault at Delhi airport resulted in delay of all the flights from the national capital.

One flight was cancelled whereas 13 others arrive and departed late at Chandigarh International Airport.

According to the details provided by the flight operators, flight number 9W-639 from Delhi was cancelled due to poor visibility. Sources in Jet Airways said the flight did not get a slot at Delhi and was cancelled.

According to the reports, the flights at Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport have been delayed due to fog. The flights were put on hold since 7.30am due to heavy fog.
