Trujet likely to start daily flights to Ahmedabad from February

Nashik: Private airline Trujet, will introduce daily flights connecting Nashik and Ahmedabad beginning February 13.
“We will start operations on Ahmedabad-Nashik-Ahmedabad sector from February 13. We also have plans to start operations on Ahmedabad-Jalgaon route,” said a TruJet official.
The airline would use a 72-seater aircraft for its Nashik-Ahmedabad flights. The flight will take off from Ahmedabad at 2.55pm and land at Nashik at 4.05 pm. The return flight to Ahmedabad will take off at 4.30pm and will land at Ahmedabad at 5.40pm.
“There has been demand for Nashik-Ahmedabad flight for many years. There is no proper rail connectivity between these two cities and tourists, businessmen, etc, have to travel by road or by air via Mumbai,” said Manish Rawal, chairman of the infrastructure committee of Nashik Industries & Manufacturers’ Association.
“This flight will be a better option for tourists travelling to Rajasthan and those go to Shirdi,” said Datta Bhalerao, president of the Travel Agents Association of Nashik. The flight will be a boon for the over two lakh Gujarati population in Nashik, he added.
