Air India’s Delhi-Iraq aircraft to connect Pune flyers

Pune: National carrier Air India is set to provide a flight for Puneites interested to travel to Iraq.

Airline officials said a new flight from Delhi to Najaf, a city located in central south Iraq and around 160km from Baghdad, will start from February 14. The passengers from Pune can avail it with their baggage and boarding cards being issued from the airport here.

“The flight (AI-901) will take off from Delhi at 13:55hours and reach Najaf at 17:00 hours on Monday and Thursday. On its return leg, the flight (AI-902) will leave Najaf at 18:00 hours and reach Delhi at 00:45 hours,” Air India Pune station manager Suhas Jadhav told TOI.
The official said the passengers from Pune would have ample time to complete the customs and immigration checks at the Delhi airport. “They will first board the Pune-Delhi flight (AI-852). From Delhi, they will board the flight to Najaf,” he said.
