‘Good leader remains in touch with his workers’

Indore: Workers are true driving forces in any organisation and if they are happy, the organisation can scale great heights, newly appointed second time chairman and managing director of Air India Ashwani Lohani said on Saturday.
Lohani was invited at the World Business and Economy Congress being hosted by Sage University. It was his first public appearance after taking charge as Air India CMD for second time . He said a good leader is one who remains in touch with all his workers and works alongside them.

“People are scared to speak up on topic of corruption. But, it is extremely necessary to address this issue, which I did through seminars and conferences. It is only through these measures that I feel corruption in the field of hospitality and tourism has come down to a great extent,” Lohani said.
He shared success story of his brainchild- a flight operation from New Delhi to San Francisco- which was one of the longest flights of Air India. It was successful despite criticism and doubts.
